Back To School

Okay, so the last post was damn near perfect in describing me. I am extremely driven and ambitious. I look for it in others as well. Getting things done quickly is correct. I don't like waiting around for things to happen. I AM a great judge of character! I have all of you as my blogging friends and I have made excellent choices on who! I love challenges, especially at work when the "impossible" needs to be done. One thing, I am obsessed with status and power, especially at work. But it's not how some would think. I am always bragging about my zone and the people who work in it. I always want us to be #1 in everything and I am extremely competitive in order to get there. The people I oversee are the same way. They are hardworking and driven. They want it just as bad as I do. No one comes to work wanting to do a bad job. They are all some awesome people! I am very passionate about the people side of our business. Without them, our company wouldn't be able to survive. I started at the bottom and I will never forget what it's like growing up in the business. I won't ever forget where I came from.

So... just got back from school shopping with the kid. I dropped a small load of cash on supplies and "needs" for his room. New under the bed storage, desk storage, backpack, binders, folders, paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, markers, compass, protractor, calculator, rulers, highlighters, scissors, watercolors, colored pencils, graph paper, college ruled paper, tissue paper, and index cards - just to name a few. I always buy double of everything, that way he has supplies at home so he doesn't have to bring any home from school. I know, I'm weird. But I love shopping for school supplies. It's one of my all time favorite things to do with my kid. The reason is because I know fall is right around the corner.

We're good on clothes for now. I will have to buy jeans and hoodies in the fall. Probably another pair of shoes as well. The kid is growing like a weed! Just came back from the doctor on Monday and he is 5ft. 3 inches and 107 pounds. He is already in a men's 9 1/2 shoe and the kid is only 12. He's long and lanky, opposite of me. I am tall, but far from lanky. He will take after his dad. I guess if that's all he gets from him, we are good to go.

Long post today! I will check back in later with everyone! Have an awesome day!

Have fun back to school shopping with "the kid". Hahahaha! I like how you say "the kid" instead of "my kid" or something to that effect.

You've got a big kid!

I've always loved school shopping, just not school.

There were so many possibilities when you had new supplies and laid out in front of you. I would hoard mine and use them as sparingly as possible... wait, I still do and I haven't been to school in many moons.

My Mom shares my excitement over office/school supplies. And so does my b/f. He has a thing for Sharpies. He has all kinds and in all colors. Don't ever ask to use one, you'll get a stern NO. lol

P.S.
I've missed reading you as well. It's good to be able to grab a few mins here and there and get in some good reading!

I loved shopping for school supplies with my kids, too. It didn't create as many arguments as the school-clothes shopping did, and I am still an idiot for pens and papers and notebooks....

and boys seem to grow right in front of you eyes! I swear they would wake up two inches taller than they were when they went to bed...

Have a good weekend!
