BBQ and Life Lessons

Hope you are all having a great weekend. Mine has been filled with hot, humid days and thunderstorms at night. Whew!

I have not interviewed yet. The interview will be this Thursday. I am looking forward to it.

Josh's family had a BBQ today, but I decided to stay home out of the heat. I have been working all weekend, so I needed to take some time for myself. I came home and took a nap. Yep, my life is pretty boring. He did bring me a plate home. I had a hamburger, potato salad, and beans for dinner. I'm glad I didn't have to cook!

So, I just found out my brother and his girlfriend of seven years broke up. It's pretty sad. They started dating when she was 15, so my brother is the only guy she has ever been with. I guess she is at the stage in her life where she questions herself and where she stands in her life. My brother is pretty heartbroken, I am sure. He was going to propose to her this year. Oh well. At least it happened before they got married and had any children. It's painful, but time heals all wounds.

Well, I am going to blog surf for awhile. Later!

I read about the storm and immediately thought about you.
Good you caught up on rest, you work so hard.
I'm sorry abt your brother, it isn't easy at any stage.

No hot and humid here, yet. Yesterday was glorious...no other way to describe the weather. Today will be 85, the hottest yet, but no humidity yet. It will come...

Too bad about your brother and his girlfriend. Fifteen is way too young to be involved in a serious relationship. I'm so glad Em and her boyfriend broke up, although she still says she's going to marry him one day. Like you said, better for you brother to grieve now and move on than after a marriage and kids.

Enjoy your Monday!

I wondered about you in all the storms, too. It has been pretty severe, hasn't it?

I'm sorry for your brother, it's hard to watch someone you love suffer with a broken heart. Especially a young man, I don't know why I feel that way, but they seem so pitiful. I'm sure he will get it together soon, and you never know, these break ups can last a very short time....I've watched my kid's break up and reconcile many, many times. And I guess that's what "going with" someone is for. You are right, at least they weren't already married with children.

I'm happy that you are taking some much needed time for YOU.

I hope your day has been a quiet one.

Hugs, my friend.

Seven years is a long time. Relationships become a habit and I'm sad your brother is hurting. I feel for him.

I agree that it's much better to break up before you get married.
