The Everyday Mumbo Jumbo

Well, I got the same kind of sleep as I did the night before. 2 to 10. I think once I get back to work, it will get better. I have decided to go back on Monday instead of Tuesday. I have so much to catch up on.

Last night was good. We had dinner at Johnny Carino's. I always get the same thing - tilapia with angel hair pasta and their delicious potato soup. They have the best potato soup I have ever tasted. After leaving the restaurant with our to-go leftovers and dessert, we headed over to visit Josh's mom. She is in a rehabilitation hospital for her leg. She broke her knee a couple of months ago and just recently had surgery. It was great to see her. We are going back tomorrow and bringing a dinner plate for her. I am making one of her favorites tomorrow which is a roast with potatoes, carrots and onions. It will slow cook for most of the day and should be just delicious by the time we get ready to take it to her.

The weather is finally starting to become more predictable. The hot edge in the temperature is gone. The wind is breezier and the smells of fall are around the corner. We are anticipating a lot of raking again this year with the big maple tree we have in our front yard. As the tree starts to change color, I will post pictures for all of you to see.

Well, enough rambling. I have enough laundry to keep me busy until dinner time. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

How sweet to take her dinner, I love to make roast. my light went out in my laundry room so I haven't done any in 2 days, wonder how long I can use that excuse? Have a restful Saturday.

Don't overdue on going back to work. It's easy to over estimate your stamina. I know how good it feels to get back and feel like you're contributing.

Hope Josh's mom recovers quickly. I know she'll enjoy your cookin'.

That was really nice, taking her something special.
