Ugh... I am so tired, but can't sleep at night. My legs are achy. So, I stay up and blog. Why? Because I won't have a chance to do it tomorrow.

Josh has a birthday tomorrow. He will be 29. Yes, I am a cradle robber. He is 6 years younger than me. Oh well.

I am going to attempt to get some sleep. I need to! Big day tomorrow!

Lots To Do!!

I think I missed a dental appointment. Oh well, guess I will have to reschedule. There is just too much going on right now. I am surprised the dentist office didn't call me. They must be just as busy.

Yesterday was the worst! I had meetings and conference calls from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Talk about draining a person of energy! Ugh! Today, I have a conference call at 9 a.m., the kid has to go back to the orthodontist because a bracket fell off, I have a work luncheon to go to at 11:30 a.m. and we have training today for our department heads. Whew! I am so happy I am off tomorrow!

Storms Passing Through

Storms have been passing through for most of the late afternoon and evening. The tornado sirens have been going off throughout the day. It's a nice cool evening with the occasional clap of thunder.

So, how was your weekend? Mine was full of work and driving. This next week will be full of meetings and conference calls.

I am making peanut butter cookies right now. Sorry, I won't be posting any pictures, but I am sure you can all smell them from your computer. Can't wait to bite into a warm peanut butter cookie and douse it with cold milk!

I am trying to enjoy my evening. Not having much success. The kid and Josh are heading to Kansas City tomorrow to see my brother and hopefully catch a Royal's game in between rain drops. I wish I could go, but work calls my name. And I don't even have to work all day. But they are leaving early and coming home late. sigh.....

Oh well, I guess I can certainly enjoy some me time! I do want to finish up on this book I started about accountability. It's been quite the eye opener so far.

Domestic Goddess

The title says it all. It's my day off and what do you think a girl like me should be doing on a beautiful day like this? Well, one would think shopping, or visiting friends, but no, that is not the case. It's all about the housework today. Several loads of laundry need to be done. The dishes need to be put away. The bathroom needs to be cleaned and my bedroom has finally become so disorderly that it has become absolutely necessary to take care of the situation.

So, while in between my loads of laundry, orthodontist appointment for the kid, cooking and cleaning, I will be on the computer. One of you asked how I find the time. Well, after I get home from work, the kid is usually outside playing. While I am cooking dinner, I jump on the computer and check out my Facebook account and this blog. After dinner, while the kid is taking a shower or reading a chapter in his book, I jump back on the computer and work on my Urbanspoon reviews or my food blog. I would say I am on the computer for about one and a half hours a day. No biggie. It's while my kid is doing other things.

Well, the washing machine is calling out to this Domestic Goddess. Good thing it's only one day out of the week.
