Update

Oh my goodness.  It's time for an update.

Let's see.  I am 37 now.  The kid is now 16 and a junior in high school.  I am still with my boyfriend.  We still live in the same house.  I still have the same job, but was promoted last year.  It was a big promotion!  Loving work and loving life right now.

I also bought 2 acres of land west of here.  I am hoping to start the building process later this year.  We are going to put this house on the market in March and see what happens.  If we don't sell, I am not going build.  It's the smart thing to do.  I bought and paid for the land up front, so I own it, but I don't want to be stuck with two mortgages in today's world.  I do have common sense!

Um..... I am also trying to lose about 100 pounds.  I have seriously been overweight for the last 7 years and I desperately need to lose weight.  Losing 100 would put me at high school skinny, so maybe not THAT much weight, but I am optimistic.

My high school reunion is this year and I will most likely NOT be attending.  Why would I want to go back to that crap hole?  I loved it while I was there, but it was "high school".  Move on people!

So yeah, I've kinda got an "attitude" that you really didn't see before.  I felt like I was hiding behind someone in my old blog posts.  No more.  This is me, take it or leave it.

I have been inspired to start again.  This time, I am using my real name.  No more abbagirl.  It's time for the world to see the real me.

It's Been A Year

I can't believe it's been a year since I have blogged. It's been great having the time off. What has happened? Well, I changed career paths. I am still with the same company, but have been promoted to the division office. It's been going well. That happened last October.

The kid is now 16 and a sophomore. He is 6'3" and does NOT play basketball. In fact, he is into Ultimate Frisbee. He is always getting asked about basketball too. I know it gets on his nerves. lol...

I am still with Josh. He turns 31 tomorrow. Yay!

What else... oh! I bought 2 acres of land west of town. I am planning on building a house next year. No rush. The land is bought and paid for. We need to sell Josh's house first.

I know I have been gone forever and I am not sure who is still out there. Hope you are all doing well. Leave a comment so we can catch up!

I Love Spring

I love spring. I have been working on my little garden. This year I am doing the potted vegetable garden again. It was quite successful last year, even though that bad hailstorm took out several of my plants.

Not much has been going on here. Still in the same ole' job, just with a new boss. I am really starting to like her a lot. The old boss is doing something different now, but I am not sure if he will be in that position for much longer. It's constantly changing.

Let's see.....

The kid is now 6' 1" tall. Can you believe it? I used to be taller than him. Not anymore! He's a freshman in high school and loving life. He is such a great kid. I love him!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Next weekend starts the 1st of May and Josh will be 30! Finally! I felt so old being 30+ and he only being in his late 20's.

Anyone Still Out There?

Not sure if anyone reads this blog anymore, but I am still here. I have been so busy with work, getting a new boss and all.

I am going to make more of an effort to post often and comment on your blogs. It's been forever since I have read any. Your lives have probably all changed.
