Dinner

For dinner tonight, we are having homemade chicken tenderloins, oven fried to perfection. I coated the chicken in salt and pepper, tossed them in Italian bread crumbs and Parmesan Reggiano cheese, then lightly grated very cold butter over them. I put them in the oven to bake at 350 degrees. I have potatoes on the stove top boiling to make my famous garlic mashed potatoes. We are also having brussel sprouts, the kid's favorite, and corn which is Josh's favorite.

I finally opened my bottle of olive oil from O & Co. O & Co. is this awesome little olive oil shop in Greenwich Village I fell in love with while in NYC. The flavor is light and fruity. It's going to taste awesome with any fish or chicken I cook. Yumm-O!

I don't have any dessert planned for the evening. I am so sick of desserts right now from the holidays. I need a break so I will be able to do my Christmas baking this year. I plan on using my brand new Kitchen Aid mixer I got last year. I haven't even touched it yet, but Cheryl has inspired me to get it out and use it.

Heroes and The Hills are on this evening. Both are shows I like to watch if I am home. One is completely different than the other. Heroes is about super natural abilities and The Hills are about superficial people. Great combination for a Monday night!

Hope you all had a grand Monday! Here's to a great day tomorrow!

sounds delicious! I'm totally fried from cooking The Big One last week. So we had mac&cheese and bratwurst. Sort of easy peasy comfort food.

I wasn't sure about Heroes when I first started watching it. I ended up watching it because Josh always needed it recorded while he was at rehearsal. Now I'm getting into it. I also luck the show Chuck that comes on before heroes. Two posts in one day from you! Woo Hoo!

Your dinner sounds wonderful. Anything homemade is appealing as I don't do enough cooking. Leftover Italian was tonight's dinner along with the last of the kettle corn. I love olive oil. Last night's dinner was pan fried potatoes in olive oil and garlic along with shrimp in olive oil and garlic. The broccoli was plain, thank goodness.

I can't wait to hear what you make with your mixer.

That dinner sounds sooooo delish. do I sound like Rachel Ray? Did you find anywhere in N.Y. that sells good citrus cilantro oil? I need to restock. Also, do you know where to get fish boullion? I used to find Knorr at the regular grocery store...now it's nowhere.

I liked Heroes Season 1. The sophomore year of Heroes had started off really slow, but it seems to be getting better now.

Sometimes, I get frustrated with the characters watching the show, because they don't use their powers to the fullest. I think if I had those powers I would become corrupted. I'd be using those powers way too much.
