Faith

The storms are calm in the area I am in. Thank goodness. The waters are receding. Much of the south central part of the state is under water. But the water will recede.

Yesterday I spoke of hope which brings me to this. Hope is often the result of faith in that while hope is an emotion, faith carries a divinely inspired and informed form of positive belief.

We need to have faith in the people of Greensburg. We need to have faith in the people and surrounding communities to help them rebuild. I am still learning so much about faith.

I feel like I should break out into a George Michael song - Faith. But I will spare you the misery.

Well, the kid is getting braces today. We are getting ready to leave now. Wish us both luck.

I just saw the news and thought of you. It looks like you'll be getting more rain today at least.

I hope you are doing on through all this. I know it's emotionally draining to be around a disaster area, even when you have hope.

P.S. To be Sappy is not a bad thing, most people need more sap in their lives. It holds things together sweet pea. :)

I like how you said this a lot! Good luck with the braces. I hear they hurt a lot at first.

I'm glad that things are calmer there, and the clean-up can begin. I can't imagine what it must be like for the people of Greensburg.

How did it go with the braces? Emily had a little discomfort the first day, but that's been about it. And, she eats anything she wants. So, do boys get colored brackets too?

I found your blog thru Terri at Ruddell Times...and I live in your neck of the woods. I am a newer Kansan, and I was in WI over the weekend, and I'm SO glad I missed all the crazy weather...of course it can stop raining ANYTIME now!

I'll be back to read more!
